Picturesque village Krížovany streches close to Chminianska Nová Ves, in the valley of the creek Križovianka. The first written record comes from 1318. Settlement was created near an older church in 11th or 12th century, or possibly established by a settler with peasants in the end of 13th century. From 14th century, Krížovany developed as a small town. Sacral sight of the village is Roman Catholic church from 14th century. In 17th and 18th century was rebuilt. The high altar can be dated back to the beginning of 16th century. The bell tower near church is from 14th century. In 15th and 17th century were transposed some architectural adjustments. New church in Krížovany serves to believers from 2006. Sufficiently built infrastructure insures a very comfortable and pleasant living in this locality. The village develops cultural and sport activities for its residents, for example by creating a football pitch in the village. They also have a Volunteer fire brigade in Krížovany.
